Mike wanted Nut Crunchies for Valentines, so here is his Valentine "cake". They are filled with lots of dried cranberries, raisins and pecans. An old favorite from my Mom's recipe box.

Becky, when I got my Circut from my neighbor, she couldn't find the instruction manual, but I was able to download it from the internet. You may want to try looking on the Cricut site and see if the manual for your machine is available. If not, I can mail you a copy of mine. My machine is actually the Mini, but you would still be able to use the manual.
SIGH....
HA! HA! HA! Bonnie, you crack me up! I have tried it and it worked fine with chilled gum paste. I just prefer the hand made decorations. It has been setting on the console table just inside the living room (about 6 months) ever since I got it. My friends and next door neighbors (sisters and sister-in-law) are into scrapbooking and card making big time. On one of their shopping binges, they ran across a super dooper deal on the Cake Circuts, so, even though neither of them bakes, they each bought one. I think one sister sold hers on eBay and the other told me about her unused machine. She sold me the Cricut and four cake discs for....I can't remember exactly...about $60.00. The cool thing is, the cake machine will work with any Circut disk and between the three ladies, they have all of them and would happily share :o) I may come to enjoy it, but right now, not so much.
WHAT???? YOU HAVE ONE OF THOSE!!?? You have been holding out on us! Bet it is really neat! please let me know how it works with fondant/gumpaste for you! I've read stories, both good, & bad... One of my friends has one, doesn't even use it! The additional designs(?) cost too much?? Don't know what you call those things.
Thank you Betty, June and Katy! This is Mike's and my favorite cookie. I am thinking the Cake Cricut might actually come in handy for doing the type design that is on Mike's valentine. So far it has been a dust collector.
yummy. that card needs to be replicated on a cake (one of my best kind of inspirations, lovely cards.)
Cookies sound delicious and love the card design...
