More or less right out of the Wilton yearbook. My DIL saw it and liked it, so I thought I would give it a try. The hardest part was finding ice cream cones to fit over the pillar supports. Lots of work, but not executed particularly well. They were pleased, and that's all that matters.

Thanks for letting me know. I will look up the Wilton yearbook online. You are right about tall. When looking at the picture, the way it is angled, it looks like it's touching the ceiling! Once again, great job!
Wow, it's a huge cake! Every child will love it...
And, by the way, this cake is huge. It was almost as tall as my two year old granddaughter. I even cut it down by a third so there wouldn't be as much cake.
Ruth, They are actual ice cream cones. I used the directions from the Wilton yearbook (2012, I think) You use the ball separators (the ice cream) and run the plastic pillars up through the cones. It was hard to find cones large enough to fit over the pillars. I finally found some Joy Jumbo cones at a Kroger.
You did an absolutely beautiful job on this cake! Did you make the ice cream cones for the pillars? If so, would you share how you made them?
Er um , excuse me, 'not executed particularly well'? Are you kidding? It's brilliant
I think you did an amazing job! There is a lot of work to this cake! Love all the colours.
Wow! CandyLand=) Great cake.
