Hi Jennifer,
I noticed your post to Fiona this morning. I just wanted to give you a suggestion about black buttercream. If you mix it with black gel color at least a day ahead of time and put it in the refrigerator, it will darken to a nice black. Add enough color to make it a nice deep gray to start off. Hope this helps.
