Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

After I made the hat cake for the contest, I decided to give it to my sister-in-law for an early birthday cake. Cake was sour cream chocolate with chocolate icing as filling and covered the cake. Red was half fondant and half gum paste.

...and I'm getting older, too, Goreti, which makes it just that much harder. I threatened June that I'm gonna move to Canada so she can whip me into shape! She is a power walker. (I'm kind of a power sitter...)

I totally understand.  That is why I give my away too.  My daughter asked for cupcakes last week with SMBC --chocolate which is my favorite.  Needless to say, I went to my old place of employment to drop some off.  Had her take some to work and some to her friends.  Don't want them at home.  Not worrying to much about losing weight as much as maintain what I have lost.  Would love to lose more but not sure if I could maintain less than what I weigh right now.  I ate some of the Christmas cookies too.  So tough to have a sweet tooth isn't it?

Goreti, I want to bake them, but I have put sooooo much weight on since my husband had that knee operation, that I have to do something with the darn things. Right now, I'm still trying to learn that Lambeth Method of cake decorating and I don't want to eat cake myself, so I am having a cake drawing giveaway for a Valentine cake. That way, I can experiment with that technique and someone is going to get a cake in the process......by the way...not doing so good on that dieting...=O(.......I have been making cookies for my grandchildren....and I've been eating them as bad as they have.

Linda you are just as bad as I am.  Making cakes to give them away.  By the way June, I would love that coconut cake recipe.  Hubby adores coconut.
