Thanks! I took several layers of cake and stacked them and carved them.  The very peak, I used a small amount of rice crispy treats so that I could get a sharper edge.  Then I covered it with buttercream, then covered that with fondant.  I let the fondant set up a little bit, then I made the siding with gumpaste.  I cut out pieces that would be the right length and put the texture of wood on them with a silicone tipped tool (it's actually used for painting).  I made the shingles on the roof the same way. Then I attached all the gumpaste pieces with royal icing. I painted the whole house with some food coloring and vodka mixture with a small paint brush.
