Exactly. My husband got me a Wilton student kit when I was 20 and I read the little book and practiced and made my son's 1st birthday cake. I did a Mickey mouse cake. I fell in love immediately. I had worked in a bakery for 3 months during the Christmas season and watched the decorators there. I never got to do anything, but I knew I would enjoy it. My mom always made my birthday cakes growing up too. I can do so much with buttercream people think it is fondant sometimes. You almost cant tell in some photos. People always ask. We are cake artists!!! :-D

Thats How I feel about it, I just started experimenting with fondant, I haven't took a class. But I have been decorating with buttercream since I was 16 years old and I rather use buttercream.....

Thanks. I am a buttercreamer at heart. That is all I knew for so long. Finally got brave and took a fondant class. I use it some, but it is just so much easier for me to draw in buttercream.
