LOL - Cheryl, that is because they do not realize how much easier it is to do fondant and that you must really be a master to use butter cream the way you do, not to mention how much better it tastes!  What a great partnership with your husband!  I've tried to talk my husband into becoming a cake team, but his favorite part is eating it.  He does help with the support structure of large cakes.  Oh, and I, too, like bright and gaudy!

@Sandra S.>I love drawing with icing ,My grown kids{31&41 yrs old} want me to do fondant,keep up with the trends they say...Nope! 40 yrs of buttercream..My husband make all the icing now,he had 3 massive heart attacks 7 yrs ago,so it helps me and he makes the best around...I call him my icing engineer...so I guess we do majic together!

This is a beaut!  Cheryl, do you free hand all your drawings???  You do some awesome cakes.  I have been through them more than once, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself.
