Cake topper for sis-in-law's cake. I purchased a rubber stamp to do the
"Feliz Cumpleanos" but it was too big. Plan "b" was to stamp it on a piece of paper so I could decrease the size using my printer/copier then transfer it on but my printer kept giving me a message that there was a paper jam, which there was none, & couldn't get beyond that point. Plan "c", ended up freehanding it. These old hands are shaky & it kinda shows but it is what it is now. Did it in black b/c thought it wouldn't stand out as well if in peach. What does everyone else think? Honest opinions appreciated. So this will go on top & flower is going on front of cake. Stay tuned :)

Denise, I think your writing is about as perfect as is possible unless you are a machine! Honestly I find it easier when writing with icing to do a cursive type style than a printing type. Seems to be more forgiving. Can't wait to see your new fur baby!
I'm with Sandra. This is so lovely and I prefer it handwritten. Definitely the black for the writing was the right choice. I think it's perfect as is. It is funny how we always seem to find fault with our work. Everyone else just sees the beauty and don't notice anything else.
Denise, this is an absolutely wonderful topper...I am in love! The writing could not look as well in any color other than black. It is perfect. And you want an honest opinion? I much prefer the personal touch of hand written text to the perfection of printed copy - truth. You did a fine job with the writing and the whole thing is just so darned beautiful!!
