Inoka, I was surprised at the slight brownish cast to the color, but I guess that is burgundy after all.  In the rose world this color would fall into the "russet" classification.

Inoka, the photo was taken in the sun and is true to color.  I guess it could be made as dark as it appears on Bonnie's cake by adding more gel color.
