We decorators collaborated to do our own buttercream cakes as a tribute to you Betty for your birthday. I could never match your skill level.... I did cheat and use fondant on a dummy instead of full bc as I have been extremely busy. I had a heck of a time with my icing being soft, so I gave up on any making bc roses!!! It was a disaster..hee hee. I opted for just some star tipped fun embellishment on top. After not piping in quite some time...gotta tell ya, it ain't easy!! Great respect for your beautiful cakes and skill Betty.

Very nice June
June, I keep going back and looking at your cake and seeing piping I hadn't noticed before ( I was a little over-whelmed yesterday with so many cakes to look at) you really did a nice job.:-))))
I love it! Compact neat, & festive, with the nice thick, and beautiful, piping on BOTH borders! The top border looks like Lambeth, beautiful. Mine is almost like your's, only in white instead of this black! Now what were the chances of that happening? Even right down to the centerpiece! And the beadwork on the sides! Great minds think alike! lol
Thanks Betty...Your so right Denise...sometimes everything runs smoothly....other times...well...it just doesn't go well....
You did a great job June.It never fails w/me, no matter how much I plan in advance, something always seems to go wrong and I have to scramble for a plan B. The only cake that didn't happen with was my granddaughter's bd/graduation cake. I breezed right thru that one w/No problems whatsoever.
I think you did a great job and the thought behind this idea is what counts the most. You all are the best. XXXOOO
This is very elegant June!!!
