This is the second time I've done the basket weave.

When is your birthday, Timothy? I will give it another try :o)))
Just... BEAUTIFUL...! I want one!!!
Thanks, Becky. I am getting better a little at a time.
Thank you, Inoka.
Nice piping Sandra
LOL - yes, I practiced a lot. I wanted to be able to do a decent job for your birthday. That was part of the tribute to you, Betty, to improve my piping skills. And, I will admit, this cake came out better than I expected.
This cake was 9", four layers, and much too big for Mike and me to eat. I carried it to my veterinarian's office and shared it with them, explaining how it came to be. They were thrilled and said you could have a birthday every week, if you wanted to :o) There are 10 of them and they all wished you a happy birthday, as well!
The two painted "cakes" are really dummies - fondant over cake pans, but all of the piping is butter cream. So, not sugar overloaded, yet.
Very nice....Looks beautiful...You've been practicing. The basket weave is perfect. How many cakes did you make for me??? You 're going to get a sugar over load.HA !HA!
Your piping is very good just like Betty's. I really want to do the basket weave and the piping on the sides on the top. How did you do it?
Thanks, Katy and June. Betty could probably decorate this cake in 30 minutes. It took me about 6 hours!
