Decided to practice doing some roses since I've never been happy with my previous efforts. Getting closer to what I want to achieve.

Hmmm

Gonna ck that out Sandra. I have been in the clay section at my Michael's many times. I have never seen them there. Of course, the American stores do carry different things then the Canadian.

Girls, girls....Michaels has the stainless 3 sizes ball tool. You will not find it with the cake stuff, but with the clay stuff...I think it is $10.00.

June, the suppliers I have found do free shipping regardless of amount spent.  When you do your search, I think you have the option of showing only those with free delivery.  Does take me a long time sometimes, but there are some suppliers that charge the same for delivery on every item and don't reduce for multiple items - thieving b******s!  I will not buy from them unless I really can't find what I want anywhere else.

Yes Katy

I can get free shipping from a couple of online suppliers.  Trouble is, orders have to be over $75 at one & $100 at the other. I could drive there,  but both are over a hour away. So gas & time??  I have never had to order $75 at once.  But I suppose if I made a list it might make sense. Probably cheaper than our Michael's craft store here where you always need a 40% coupon cause everything is so dear.

Guys - I buy some of my stuff like this from Amazon.  Over here, there are a few suppliers that do free shipping.  Maybe it's worth you looking see if it's the same over there?

Ya

I know what you mean. I am relatively fortunate that I do have 2 good size cake supply warehouses about 40 min from me. The trick is having a list & $$$$ when I go their.

I know what you mean June and when you add on the shipping...ouch.  I want to order some wires for flowers and what some of them want for shipping is amazing but I don't want to get the ones from Michael's cause it hardly comes with any of the white.  I ended up buying 3 I think to do my mother-in-law's flowers because I needed so much of the white.

Thanks G

The ladies in my cake club, the serious decorators, order a lot of tools online. I have ck'd out some of there suggested sites, and found them very pricey.  I only have one size ball tool, wilton, so I think I need to invest in a larger one in stainless steel.  :o)

June, I used a mixture of gumpaste (Wilton) and leftover MMF that I had at home.  I've been looking online for the stainless steel ball tool.  I might actually order one.
