Rear view. Bottom is a 12" x 4" strawberry cake, torted for 4 layers, filled with Marshmallow buttercream mixed with whipped cream & chopped strawberries. The top is a 6" x 4" strawberry cake, torted for 4 layers, filled with strawberry flavored marshmallow buttercream. All covered with vanilla almond crusting buttercream. You are a genius! That is a fantastic tip :o) Thanks!
Crusting buttercream recipe, smooth as you can get it with spatula, in fridge for 20 minutes, now omit the 'smooth with paper towel' bit, powdered sugar on the impression mat, apply to cake where needed, sugar helps to keep it from sticking. Voila! Ain't I smart??? L O L!
Of course I can see the cobblestones, but I did not realize it was buttercream! How did you do texture on BUTTERCREAM?!
I keep typing comments, then forget to 'add comment', so I loose it all! So frustrating!
Once more:
Thanks again Sandra! Hope you can see the stone work pattern in the buttercream. Those are not just random lumps! lol
LOL - even the back is pretty! Forgot to mention what a nice touch the swan and little birds were.
