Gwen beach cake 1

I made this cake for my Granddaughters birthday. The cake was a chocolate fudge cake with a raspberry puree, and two kinds of buttercream -raspberry buttercream and chocolate buttercream.
The ‘waves’ and floating tube were marshmallow fondant. The seashells and starfishes were made from chocolate. The crabs, lei and beach umbrella were made from of gum paste. And “X” marked the spot where her ‘buried’ birthday gift was hiding!
