Baseball Cake
Last minute cake for my daughter's roommate (was told on Tuesday she needed it for this morning). Cake is peanut butter brushed with liqueur & grape jam. Covered & filled with peanut butter buttercream--I will no longer say I don't like ABC because this one was delicious but still hate using powdered sugar.

American Buttercream--I usually use Swiss Meringue Buttercream. It is not as sweet.

You could just spit, couldn't you Goreti? Similar thing happened to me once. I was asked to make a 21st cake for my niece and I took days of care and attention over it, trying things I had never done before just to make it a bit special. It ended up not even being cut at the party as it got so late and it got forgotten! I was absolutely furious and vowed never to do it again (but of course you do, don't you?)

Aronna, she told me on Tues the 10th that she needed it for Thurs. the 12th in the morning.. So I baked it on Tuesday and decorated it Wednesday after dinner.

I could have taken my time this morning decorating it and done a better job. Instead I did a rush job last night.

It was not easy since I was out of state most of the day yesterday.
