Thanks Katy! What I did for the rope was roll out two long snakes of fondant and just braided them, one over the other. For the end frayed look, I just took my exacto knife and made little cuts :)

btw - is your cord around the cake just twisted fondant?  I want to do something that looks like a tie string around a money bag and this looks ideal.

Wonderful Melanie!  My hubby has a biking scarf exactly the same as that.....
