Thank you. This is one of the funnest cakes I have done (is funnest a word?). The pan was a letter shape pan, but any sheet pan will work, just cut part of it off to make it thin. The whole cake is covered in buttercream. The water is blue piping gel. The sand is brown sugar. The trees are sugar ice cream cones covered in brown sugar with the leaf tip. Something I learned is soak the part of the cone you want to cut off in water for about five seconds then use kitchen scizzors to cut off the part of the cone you do not want. I didn't use any fondant on this cake. I used the grass tip for grass, and I made the "rough" a little darker than the fairway and green.
i love this! could you tell me a little more about this cake? like cake pan and frosting/fondant? is the water piping gel and what did you usw for sand? my husband loves to golf and his bday is this summer and ive been looking at different golf cakes on here and i love yours! nice job!=)
