Cakes really can be a ministry, huh, June. All that love that you pour into making one...it really does touch someones heart. Even long after your friend and the group had eaten that cake, I know that the memories are still there along with that feeling they felt when they first saw it.

Yes, I agree Martin

The last cake I did was for my closest friend. We are more like sisters. She went into rehab, many yrs of struggle. I  won't see her for a yr, but get updated from her sister. Long story. Anyway, I made the Victorian Easter cake for her and the other ladies @ rehab.  I made a gumpaste rose so she could keep it as a reminder of me thinking & praying for her. When her sister gave the cake to her, she burst into tears.

The others apparently oohed & ahhed.  So it me happy they were happy. Just wish I could have seen their faces!!
