This feels & acts like silicone! Quick & easy to make, cheap too! Have fun with it, I am!

I'm impressed with the detail your mold has picked up. Definitely going to have to try it!!

Yup, I saw that. Bonnie. I'm good with it. Most of us on this site know that we all kind of do some experimenting, and don't give too much fuss over it. =O)

Linda,  I also had to post a 'USE at your own risk" addendum to this recipe, after someone asked if it could be really classified as a 'food grade mold' without official testing. (sigh)

Your answer is good enough for me, Bonnie! I will give this a try. Like June, I've purchased the make-your-own-mold putty, but having the materials at home already, plus the cost factor, just makes so much more sense. It will give me a chance to try making a doily. At Jo Ann's Fabric/So-Fro, I have seen doilies for as low as $.99 so it won't be a huge output of money if it doesn't work. At that price, I don't mind spraying them with cake release. Besides, it should wash out anyway.

Thanks for posting Bonnie. I have bought Make Your Own Mold, but it isn't cheap. This seems a great alternative, especially for occasionally use. Can you post some fondant/gumpaste items you have made with these molds?? Love to see the outcome and the details that show up from the mold. Thanks..... :o)

Has anyone tried this mold recipe yet???  If so, PLEASE let me know what you think of it.  I am still working on ways to improve it.

I am also in the process of trying out several different recipes for mock sugarveil, & such, to see if they are better than the one I am presently using.  If they are, I will be sure to let you know.
