Hi Shaira,
Firstly - thank you very much :)
The flowers are made from Gumpaste and left to dry.
The cakes themselves are vanilla sponge filled with raspberry preserve & vanilla buttercream. Each mound of buttercream was topped with sugar paste which I embossed with the leaf design. I used lustre dust powder in bright gold & royal gold dry brushed over the sugar paste to create the totally gold cakes. The brown with gold vines picked out are painted with the same lustre dust mixed with a little gin made into a thickish paint then hanpainted with a fine brush.
I added dry gold to the centre of the flowers with sugar gold balls plus a little baby lemon disco dust.

tracy, these are absolutely beautiful. are those flowers made of fondant or gumpaste? and how did u achieve those gold details? :)
