I made this for a lovely lady who turned 30 recently. Her husband approached me and said her fav film is Romeo and Juliet (the version with Leonardo D'Caprio). As he was organising a mascarade party for her - the pair of them dressed as R&J, he thought it would be nice to add Look Alikes of them in costume to the top of the cake. I managed to capture Rob & Nat pretty well and Nat has kept the sugarpaste models as a reminder of her party. It went down really well and has given me alot of extra work - everyone wants a little sugar version of themselves lol. Hope you all like it.

AHhhhh

I remember those days. Kids in bed...off to sew, bake, craft, housework (Yuk!!)...whatever. Then kids got involved with sports...boing!!!!...zero time to do anything...well except the odd cake or two. Then....FINALLY....Eureka....Retirement....Yeah....OMG...time to any of this stuff whenever I want.. :o)

Now I sound nuts!!!!!!

Oh Linda, that would be great. Brooke starts school in September, then Madison will start September 2013 - then daytimes will be my own. I'm still baking under the cloak of darkness once all the kids are asleep. Lol, it will be a novelty to work in daylight. I sound like something out of a Twilight movie! Txx

You better watch out, Tracy, you are getting so good, that the 'new' house may have to be traded for an even bigger house to accommodate all of your baking! Or, better yet, you may have to start looking for a building for your business. lol

Ooh - that's really brave, doing likenesses in sugar paste.  That's definitely something I WON'T be trying!
