Hi June, yes this was the gluten free wheat free cake. My client only asked for the logo - but I couldn't leave the 95 year old grandma with what I considered a very masculin cake :) I was given free design with this - so after getting granny's photo I decided to make her too lol. As you've probably guessed this is fully edible - no plastic or wire used (I make that a USP of mine) I moulded her face from a silicon mans head mold and then tweaked the nose and chin quite a bit. For the glasses I used a very small piece of gum paste rolled into a thin snake and kind of made a figure of eight out of it. I stuck this on grannys nose and then using royal icing I piped from the side of the glasses to her head. It worked pretty well. Once it had dried I painted them with gold lustre dust mixed with gin. I was really pleased with how they turned out :) I'm pleased you liked them. Tx

Amazing Tracy.  Was this a gluten/wheat free cake???? I am sure client must have been thrilled. She looks great.  May I ask how you made her glasses? Considering making fondant figure B & G for my nephew this spring. Groom wears glasses.
