I decided after making the Cinderella cake with her frilly petticoat that I wanted to make a cake full of frills. Here it is. My index finger is soooo sore after using a cocktail stick for about 3 hours to make all these frills from fondant, but ultimately I like the end product. xx

I am definitely going to invest in one! at the moment, the ball tool is all I have :) Have always looked at the other tools with sheer confusion on my face! month end shopping here I come!!! :)
Tracy this is stunning!! Did you cut long strips of fondant and then use a cocktail stick to ruffle the ends?
I added some ruffle decor to a cdake I did this weekend and it took so long and I only did an eight of what you have done in this image. I used 2 circle cutters then ruffled the edges with a ball tool. Took so long! the cocktail stick was killing me so moved over to the ball tool!u do get better definition using a toothpick tho
It is beautiful, Tracy! I have to get started on my frills cake tomorrow. It's a three tier wedding cake for my God-daughter. I just hope I am allowing enough time by starting tomorrow. Her wedding is on Saturday, and I also have to make a grooms cake and a sheet cake for extra servings. My finger is so sore too after working with the roses for the cake with a toothpick! Ugh! Who knew we had such sensitive finger tips!
Was this a dummy or a real cake? Looks like it might be a 8 inch cake? You have got those frills down pat, lady! Love it!
