Oh my this is GORGEOUS!!!!  Your flowers are amazing. Imagine being a model for the fairies, how cool.

I am sure she was just thrilled the cake.

Ahhh Linda - thank you :) I did make this in August and it was for one of the fairies in the picture. The older dark haired fairy was having her birthday (80 year) and her daughter had requested this for her. As a child she had modelled for Cicely Mary Barker who created the Flower fairies and this was one of her favourite drawings. The little fairy was her younger sister.
The image is a printed image on an icing sheet - I'm not a bad artist, but it needed to be so precise that I dare not try it. I so pleased you like it, I must have posted it early morning here in the UK - when most people across the pond were still in bed. Tx

Tracy!!! When did you make this???? How did I ever miss this beautiful beautiful cake??? It is precious! Did you hand paint all of that or is it an edible image? Your flowers, your leaves are incredible! You have August 2011 as when you posted this picture, but boy! I sure don't remember seeing it. It's going right into my favorites right now.
