Here is a close up on my Cinderella that I made for my daughters 4th Birthday. She was going to be a 'doll' cake, but I decided last minute to make her entirely out of sugar, rather than insert the Barbie I'd bought. I'm pretty pleased I did.

Thank you so much Ann, you don't know how much your comment means - really! I've made figures on some of my other cakes, but chicken out when it comes to the faces. I've used moulds - which turn out quite fab, but you end up with something you can't completely take the credit for. I made a world of Warcraft cake and the figure looked great (I felt bit guilty about the face being moulded though). I also made a mermaid, although I wasn't very happy with her face...mouth too big, eyelids heavy etc. I used her anyway as she looked a bit of a character lol. This Cinderella I was really pleased with - I'm so glad you noticed her. It took what seemed forever to get her right, but as I added detail I realised she looked ok :) my daughter was thrilled - my main objective. My Facebook page is Fondant Fetish - the art of sugar. I'm now off to look at your figures in your gallery. Thanks again, Tx.

wow, Tracy, was this the first time you'd made a figure? it's brilliant, love her face. I have a slight obsession with faces made from fondant!!!!!!!!!!!! it's a real art getting them right and you've nailed it. well done.

I also need to ask if you have a fb page too?
