Yes Linda - Angel food cake it was :) I rolled the fondant so thin so as not to overwhelm the sponge. Thanks so much for your lovely comments.

I'm afraid I would be 'smacking hands' trying to preserve these little jewels. White angel cake? As in Angel Food cake? They must have been light as a feather! Well...except for the fondant on top.

Thanks Linda,

I baked a couple of extra as they were white angel cake, the kids and my hubby got to them before I could sit down with a cuppa and enjoy. It was funny as my sister sent her boyfriend to pick them up from me. He is known for loving cake, and food in general. He had to stop off on the way home and buy some boxed cake as he was scared he might dive in before he delivered them safely lol. Did make me laugh as he left with the box, I didn't think he would make it home - he was drooling as he walked out the door.

Blush, blush :D - I filled these with raspberries and vanilla buttercream - my sister said it sounded like they were having some kind of orgy in the office with the noises when they were celebrating the girls baby shower. Lol
