I used 3 6" cakes and tapered the bottom of the pot...I scooped out the inside of the pot about a 1/2-3/4 of an inch..then covered it with fondant using a terra cotta color and used a brush and some cocoa powder to add highlights..the dirt is just some crumbled up chocolate cake...
