Hi Katherine! I just learned this technique few months ago. It's not easy to explain with words, especially for me (I speak Spanish but I'm learning English) that's why I'm working on a video. You need to make a BASE (this base is made out of plain or unflavored gelatin) then when this base has set you prepare a MILK gelatin (this is plain gelatin+milk) and start injecting it with a syringe inside the base creating the flower that you want as you inject the milk!!!!!!!! You can see more pictures on my Facebook page "Divine Sweets"

Hi Jennifer! That's 100% gelatin. The transparent part was made with plain gelatin and I added strawberry flavor. The rose was made with milk gelatin and I added color and flavoring!!!! I invite you to see my slideshow that I posted on my Facebook page "Divine Sweets" so you can see the recipe for the transparent and the milk gelatin!!!!!!!!
