Hi Meera, it's actually 2, 8inch rounds that you stack, trim off about an 1 1/2 off one side and an inch off the opposite side then prop the entire cake up on one of the sides trimmed off (the other flat side becomes the top of the fish bowl. Luckily, the cakes naturally domed so I didn't need to carve anything to make the curved shape. Once completed, I realized the cake wasn't that stable to transport so I stuck a chop stick straight down the middle and held on to it while my hubby drove us to the party praying that the cake wouldn't fall apart on the way: I just stuck the candle right into the hole where the chopstick was.
