This is a 3 layer Chocolate Mayonnaise cake filled with real butter butter cream vanilla icing and covered with Chocolate MMF. After covering the entire cake with vanilla butter cream, I cut strips of rolled chocolate fondant into 2" wide strips and started laying them onto the cake. Once I was done, it looked like a cake covered in tootsie rolls, which I did not like, so I used bronze sheen and air brushed the whole thing to get away from the tootsie roll look. I wanted it to have a fabric 'feel' to it, so I went with ribbon roses made with copper colored fondant, and then colored fondant with a combination of yellow and brown for the ribbon at the bottom. I love texture, so I rolled the fondant over a real cloth ribbon for some texture, then painted it all with pearl sheen liquid air brush color, and then added the tiny copper flowers onto the ribbon. The big ribbon leafs are colored with avocado food paste. Thanks for looking!

This is lovely Linda.  The ribbon roses really look great on this cake.  I have never made any.  Have to try it one of these days.

Thank you Sandra...Sandra, in real life, this cake is a little more vibrant. You can really tell it is bronze, and the ribbon is brighter. I used our old camera because I can't figure out how to use my husband's new one. =O( Did you take note of the ribbon around the border of the cake? I cannot part with the beautiful piece of ribbon you sent to me, so I rolled it across a piece of fondant to get the creases in it, and then painted it with pearl sheen air brush color and added the copper flowers.
