I made a small rose with my Makins' mold and then dusted it with pink luster dust and then glued it in with gum paste glue. I make the cake on Monday. Hope it turns out!

Yes Kelly...there are two cakes. The Valentine cake with the gum paste little Victorian girl on top, and the other one is the Chloe birthday cake.http://www.cakeswebake.com/photo/chloe-s-birthday-cake?context=user
Awesome job!! Any photos of the cake with the hearts on it? I'd love to see the finishes project!
I did notice as I went through the photos. Your instructions are very precise and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing. And, yes I call it a tutorial. (smiling at you)
Dina, if you can call it a tutorial, I did post a few step by step pics that I put together to show the steps I did to make these hearts. Just look through my photos.
Beautiful Linda. How did you make the heart? Is there a tutorial I can refer to? I love it
lol, well, I had to wait until the hearts dried before I could put them on the cake anyway. Then I had to go to a cake club meeting today, so no time there, and then my granddaughter came over after my cake club meeting because she wanted help making a Valentine cake for her boyfriend, so my cake will come last. I was not able to do mine tonight after all, so tomorrow it will be.
I don't know how you can do that. I HAVE to finish a cake. I'm hoping patience will come with experience. I can't wait to see your finished Valentine cake.
Thank you Kelly! I am going to put the hearts on a cake tomorrow (or tonight if I have time) on the Valentine cake I am working on. I just hope it turns out.
I LOVE it!! Great job!!
