Thank you Tim. One thing I wish I would have done when I sanded the edges, was turn it upside down and sand all edges at the same time by going back and forth with the cup on a fine piece of sand paper so that the whole top edge would have been more even. Instead, I used an emery board and filed here and there, so the edges are not nice and smooth all around it. I should have sanded it before I put the handle on, too. Gum paste is pretty sturdy all by itself and I'm sure that it could have taken it.

Thank you Connie. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. There is a tutorial on line (just google it and it comes up) and it takes you step by step.
