I've made about a million of them in my lifetime and am making another in a few days for my neighbor's birthday.  It will be another first attempt - a football helmet.  Wish me luck here, sister!

Valkommen, welcome to most!  I just want to get them 'out there', so they can be used. {'-'}

You are ALREADY my hero!  I've been contemplating learning to use silicon to make molds.  This is far superior, in my opinion.  THANKS!

I'm sorta like you, Bonnie.  I've been baking since I was about 6 years old because I just love it, but I only discovered what is being done with cake decorating right before I retired and it blew me away!  Thankfully I already have several good recipes but always love to try new ones - Key West Key Lime Pound Cake (I added Lime buttercream frosting) being the latest.  We loved it.  Don't you just LOVE the internet?!  I've never had a class other than what is on UTube.

But I am not totally 'a hanger on' here.  I have developed 2 recipes that I am sharing, so if you are interested, here are the sites.  The mold recipe will probably not be of much use to you, since you know how to sculpt,lol, but the GummyGel one might come in handy sometime.  Doing these made me feel a little more useful. {:o)

Thanks a lot, BUT, I have only been into 'baking' & 'decorating' about a year & a half.  Maybe did a handful of very plain Jane cakes in the 50 yrs. prior to then.   In Dec. of 2012, I got on youtube, saw cakes, thought, 'I can do that', and so here I am.  This is also my retirement hobby.  I made a Christmas list of all that I would need to get started, and 'hubby' got them for me!  He is very supportive, just not very involved, or one might say not involved at all on the eating end of things!  So I am the real 'newbie', here, ha-ha.  I get a lot of help from the guys on this site.   Have been given several very good recipes just recently!   Mostly spend my time viewing everyone elses work.  I actually do not make anything unless an occasion arises.  I have never sold anything, would probably be afraid to.  One cannot complain, if one is not paying, if you get my drift. lol

You are such a sweetheart, Bonnie.  Thanks, again.  What's wrong with your husband?   Since you are into cake decorating, you are probably an incredible baker.  He doesn't know what he is missing!
