Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is the cake I made to put my parrot tulip on. Made for my good friend Eleanor who was celebrating a sad anniversary. One year since her husband's passing. Had her over on that day along with a few close neighbours to offer Eleanor encouragement and friendship.
Cake is pumpkin spice chocolate cake with orange cinnamon buttercream, apied in a rustic style. Green grass and stems added with yellow fondant flowers.

Such a lovely, original design!  The tulip looks even better on the cake.  Oh, and did I say it sounds delicious!

This is so lovely June and I'm sure that Eleanor was really touched.  Can't believe it's already been a year since her husband's death.
