Thank you so much, Melissa!  These cookies are actually iced with royal icing.  It's the first time I have tried flooding with royal icing, I normally use a meringue powder buttercream but thought I'd give this a try this time around.  I love the way they turned out.  I'm sure I will be using royal icing again.

Looking at all your Easter cookies makes me smile...the are so bright, springy, happy...they look WONDERFUL!

Are they covered in fondant or rolled buttercream?
