Hi, Diana, sorry , I did not go on the net for a while. I do not use any wires or sticks. I just "glue"them with royal icing to the cake. But I make sure that they sit properly on the cake when I make them and let them dry on the cake dummy. If something does not quite fit, i'd put more icing and hide It with a flower or a toy etc. But actual figurines have a spaghetti inside the torso to sit a head on it. we are not allowed to put anything non edible in to our cakes in Australia, have to be careful. I make the body one day before i put a head on, to firm it a bit. that's about all i know about figurines. thanks for your comment, Diana. good luck.

Wow! Great looking cake! I actually started a discussionon asking how to assemble fondant/gumpaste figurines... looks like you have it down!!! What do you use to keep them assembled? lollipop sticks? Wires? I did one and it looks sad! LOL! It's on my page if you are interested in checking it out! Any input/advice/tips is much appreciated! :-)
