Thanks for the "steaming" tip
you can do them by stacking from big to small sitting in foil or you can do them this way individual leaves on florist wire let them dry then put together once that is done steam it over your kettle to get a nice shine to it which also softens the leaves so you can move them around to place them better.
Yes, your poinsettia looks very real. Funny, I just looked at a tutorial yesterday on how to make from gumpaste. Making a small cake to take to Christmas dinner and wanted something "christmasy" added without doing snowmen, xmas trees, etc. We haven't had any snow to speak of here, just a sprinkle, but mostly rain. Just want it for xmas day, then it can go away. Yuk.
thanks June. Its definately not cold at the moment but we had storm yesterday and today the odd showers so much for the beginning of summer lol. This is my first time of doing flowers and christmas cakes so glad you like them.
Lovely little cakes Janelle. When I think of ponisettias I think of cold, crisp weather. But in your neck of the woods, it is hot summer.
