Can't believe this is a first, Goreti.  Looks perfect to me.

I think it is one of the best feeling I've ever had, seeing the joy on their faces when they receive the cakes I've created with love and heart.  And, yes, like painters or sculptures, our sugar art is created with little pieces of our souls.

Thank you Shirley.  It means a lot to get a compliment from such talented people.

I'm with you...it's to see how happy someone is that makes it all worth it. That is the reward. Being able to bring some joy to someone else.

That is always the best part...

Oh Tx Linda.  I had a blast making it (actually trying to figure out how to do this & that) and the look on my niece's face when she saw it was priceless.  I think that is the best part-seeing the happiness on their faces when they receive it.

Goreti, how did I miss this cake? It's as cute as a bugs ear! I love it!

Goreti, is never to late.  I started taking cake classes about 13 years ago.  Did a few wedding cakes (big ones) with a partner, never thought I could do it alone because all of the work involved.  Then I moved away and did nothing more, but the interest never left me.   So, I started again last year.  Sometimes I think, oh, if I only continued back then.  But now is now, and I want to continue, and so are YOU, my friend.  (by the way I love your name)

I was actually really thrilled with how this cake came out even though it was far from perfect.  This was the first time I had ever attempted something like this.  Every thing I try is just to see if I can pull it off. Even though I have not done many cakes, I find that I really love doing it.  Wish I had tried this years ago instead of spending them tied to a phone trying to sell sell sell.  Might have been able to make a living doing cakes.  Oh well now it's just for fun & challenge.

Goreti, don't you ever say that. We all have our God given talents. You did very good. Besides i just saw a peacock cake that is just a beautiful piece of art.
