Birthday cake for brother-in-law who's birthday happens to be the day after my sister-in-law's that the dream catcher cake will be for. Hers isn't even iced yet. Wanted to do something for brother-in-law b/c he worked so diligently to get our a/c back up & running when it was broken back in June. Can't take credit for the design. It seems to be a popular theme for guys bdays these days. Thought brother-in-law would get a kick out of it though. Cake is 8" white chocolate w/almond buttercream. Edible icing image on top, "Aged 58 Years" gumpaste accents. Now to get crackin on sis-in-law's cake. Will post pics when done.

Poor little guy is making up for lost time, isn't he!  You may have to get the gate because, in my experience, it takes a puppy a couple of years to mellow out a little.  I know he's getting pretty!

Thank you Sandra. You're too sweet. This wasn't really that much work. The edible icing image took care of a lot of that for me. I expected to get more accomplished on sis-in-law's cake but my big puppy boy was set free 2 weeks ago today from his splint & "cone of shame" & has certainly been making up for lost time getting into everything he can...lol!! And he's getting huge!! He can now reach my countertops when he stands on his hind legs. I caught him the other night. Good thing too b/c he was inching toward the stove & I was cooking something on the front burner. I'm working on "down", "sit", & "stay" w/him but may have to end up getting one of those tall gates in the mean time.
