Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Almost finished. Just a few more details to take care of. This is how it will be arranged on the real cake. The feathers are separate. One of my feathers broke so have to make another :(

Thank you so much June. That you would think your nieces would be impressed is a high compliment & confidence booster. Thank you again Sandra. Ordered the wafer paper image today from such a sweet lady. She threw in a couple of xtra icing images @ no charge just in case the wafer paper one doesn't work out as planned.

Denise, it doesn't need a thing except the picture you are planning for inside the heart!  I love the flowers, even like how thick they are.  To me, they really look like tiles.

Thank you all for your kind comments. As usual I'm over critiquing every little thing. My greenery didn't come out as well as I wanted it to. I knew I wanted to put some type of flowers on it & when I saw this particular set of plunger cutters I thought they would be perfect b/c they looked like something you might see in a mexican tile design. I didn't know the flowers were going to come out that thick. In the original pic I posted the the teal & peach were much softer. When I started hand painting the flowers w/gel food coloring & vodka though, those colors were much darker so in order for everything to match I had to hand paint all the orginal work as well. Now everything is darker than I had intended it to be. I think it needs more netting/web, not sure what the correct term is, but I'm afraid to do anything more to it for fear of messing it up. I mean everything seems to coordinate well together but still, it's not exactly how I wanted it to be. Sandra, I know if you were to make one it would be exceptional. Betty, I love them too. There are so many, many beautiful designs. Again, thank you all so very much :-)

Looking good Denise, great feathers. I like "dream catchers" I have one hanging just inside my back door, has blue feathers. Had it for years.
