That is part of the fun, isn't it Katy?  I have had a lot of people ask me how I can stand to cut the cake after working on it so hard.  So far, anyway, that has not been a problem for me because I just love to eat cake!

I always make cakes bigger than they need to be for the occasion, so that everyone can take a slice home with them.

The tiers are 10", 8" and 4".  It is just a birthday cake for my neighbor.  We still had a bunch left over but no one seemed to mind since they shared the extra :o)

Sandra, I did see this cake pic before, as regards the size of the dragon, but I had assumed the cake layers were larger! lol  Thanks for all the info.
