Lambeth Cake

Timothy, this is awesome, how do you make such small roses?
I understand about dummy cakes, but when you get one as beautiful as this you almost don't want to cut into it (but I am glad you were able to enjoy it! I love your piping style - it reminds me of the cake artist at my culinary school. He did outside orders and taught piping and fondant classes (unfortunately I didn't get to take any from him). I am in awe!
But... unlike so many Lambeth cakes you see now a days... a lot of them are just for show... with no real cake inside... This, thank goodness, was a real one... and we ate the whole thing... Just like a movie with a VERY happy and Yummy ending... like it should be... Thanks Tracy! :)
Thanks June and Goreti... I'm sort of a history buff... and a "classical" musician... so it sort of makes sense that i gravitate towards "classic" old styles... Nothing wrong with the new stuff... some REALLY cool ideas out there as you know... but I do enjoy nostalgia... go figure... Thanks for sharing...
Wow Tim. This is really beautiful. Not too many people are able to do this these days. This is just awesome.
Just gorgeous Timothy. Your piping skills are amazing :o)
