Thanks, Denise! You are so sweet :o) Part of the design is a mold and part of it is hand done. The big pieces are molds, the smaller ones and fill-in pieces I did by hand. For some reason, I enjoy doing those piddly little details.
Sorry, that was supposed to be "did" you use a mold not "didn't". Darn auto correct!! Another reason I don't like having to use my phone to do this kind of stuff.
Sandra, didn't you use a mold to get the "scroll" effect in the design or did you do that yourself? Wouldn't surprise me a bit if you did it yourself w/the talent I've seen from you already. I've seen some beautiful shoes that people have done but nothing like this. I absolutely love it!!
Thanks, again, Katy!
beyond gorgeous - I really, really want a pair of these for the summer............
I would like to have different heel styles. Gosh knows I have enough old pairs of shoes I could rip up! I don't ever throw away anything...a silly packrat!
I haven't had a reason to make one...I would, but that darn heel business really spoils the fun. I ripped a part a shoe and tried to mold the heel with molding material, didn't work. I've looked for just the heel mold, and there hard to find. Saw a tutorial tho on using just fondant to make a mold, certainly cheaper...I might give it a go one day...
Thank you June! I didn't think I would like making a shoe, but I did. Already have another heel drying.
Thank you Denise! I enjoyed making it, although I didn't think I would.
