I finished this cake up last night after midnight and was so tired that I didn't pay much attention to lighting when I took this picture and the colors look awful. Anyway, Strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, gum paste trees with royal icing tops, gum paste balloons, house is sugar cookies covered in fondant. Bushes, table, tea set, tablecloth and benches are gum paste

Awwwe, thank you Dawn! Truth be told, the only 'class' (if you can call it that) is by reading Wilton books since 1973 every year up until about the year 2000. I've never had any formal training. Well, I take that back. Since the internet, I have watched tons and tons of you-tube videos on different techniques. The rest I have learned from my friends here on this site. Most are so obliging in sharing their talents and tricks, that if you just ask, they will share to the best of their ability on how to do different things. I really appreciate your kind words! Thank you!
Linda - Did you take a decorating course in some culinary class? I try so hard for hours a day & I just cannot get the results I want. I took a basic & advanced cake decorating class. I even took a beginners fondant class & I'm still frustrated with my work:( You are most gifted!!!
Thank you SweetEbay!
Awesome work!!!
Well, Martin, all I can say, is thank God that kids are pretty forgiving. (It's not one of my favorite pieces, that's for sure) But thank you for your kind words, because they mean a lot...and by the way! Nice to see a face matched to those magnificent cakes!! Cute little guy you have there too!
Thanks, Nadia. I'm not a big fan of making kids cakes though.
Love this the colours are awsome !!
WOW! Linda, It turned out sooooo adorable ! Your designs are always amazing,I 'm such a fan of your work.
That was the only part I enjoyed making! The tiny table and benches, and the little teapot and cups and table cloth. hahaha! Ahh, what the heck, the little girl getting it will love it.
