I made this for my (very soon to be) son-in-law. It is a french vanilla cake with whipped ganache filling. Poker chips are chocolate and cards are fondant with an edible image.

If I want something really shiny I use a 50/50 mixture of vodka and corn syrup or vodka and glucose. Use 2 coats and brush them on in different directions.  :-)

Nice cake! How did you make the wood look and shiny?

Thanks!  I bought the chips on-line.  I just goggled chocolate poker chips and found at least a dozen places that sell them.
