Wow!!!!

BWHAHAHA! I KNOW!! I got up at 5 a.m. on Friday...worked all day, and then came home and worked on that cake until 6 a.m. on Saturday, went to the wedding, set up the cake and then turned into a zombie. I swear I was so tired I thought I was going to be physically ill.  You're right...something is seriously wrong with us!

I feel the same way Tania.  But there must be something wrong with us if we consider this fun.  lol

The edible image on the fondant drapery is actually for my son's wedding cake in march.  We want to run the drapery down the cake with an edible image of the sheet music to their song.  Trying to make it look like sheet music on the cake.  I can't find anything like that anywhere.  This cake is 7 tiers tall...it's going to be the most elaborate thing I've done.  But it's my kid...so you know it has to be over the top. LOL

oh...I don't make money either. lol  Mine are friends and family as well.  I have a full time job and do this for fun. The wedding cakes are usually my gift to the bride and groom, although I have been getting a lot of requests in the last couple of months to do them for $$.  I'm considering it, but I don't want to do the "birthday cake" thing.  If I'm going to do it for money I don't want to deal with that.  Honestly though, I'd rather give them away than to try to explain how much work is in them and why they are so expensive if I do charge.  People don't have a clue about the time, do they?

I haven't but if I come across anything I will let you know. At least you are selling cakes, I do this just for fun.  Only make cakes for family.  Most of my flowers are in my china cabinet.

I had a friend tell me recently I needed to get a life and quit with the cake videos.  But brides who cry because they love their cake make me happy.

I've been searching for information on edible images on fondant...hard to find.  seems what I want to do hasn't been done much, if at all.  I'm trying to apply an edible image to fondant and then use it for draping.  Have you seen any tutorials on that?  I'm completely without resources.

Thanks.  I love to do flowers but I watch a lot of videos & have lots of tutorials.  

If my flowers looked like that I could sleep at night instead of watching gum paste videos! Absolutely amazing!
