Thanx for the advice, i love Marthas coakes too! I thought the embossing was from a mold. i didnt think to use a tool to do it. Sometimes the brain kicks in after the idea! LOL Looking forward to seeing more beautiful work! :D

Thanks! I've loved this cake forever- it's based on a Martha Stewart cake. You're in luck - the cutter was bought at hobby lobby- it's from Wilton and is available in a two size pack. Cut out the gumpaste with the cutter. Use a tool, could probably use a toothpick (don't use point) to emboss a line in each petal. Put flower on foam (pink, available at michael's) and depress the center using a ball tool (this makes the ptals stand up a little). Put a dab of water in center and place a ball of gumpaste to mke the center. You can use yellow gumpaste, or hand paint with vodka/foodcolor. Once dry, stick to fondant with a small bead of buttercream.

This is a beautiful cake! I just love daisy cakes lol. Please tell me where u got the cutter/mold for the flowers. I have seen many that have the imprint on the petals and I like that, but i only have the cutter. I live in Fl and in my town only cake shops are Joanns and Micheals! LOL All ur cakes are beautiful !!!
