I guess it is the mini ball pan...........Yes, you could stick them together with BC. It would equal close to 3 servings that way. Hard to cover nicely without a seam, but that can be hidden with decorating. Anything's possible............

@ Rae is that the mini ball pan. Could you use two of those half rounds also and stick together with buttercream or would it be too big? what is your advice

Wilton makes a pan with 6 half round ball cavities.

Awesome, I had no idea they were cupcakes underneath. I thought they were round all the way. You did a great job!!

The half round sits on top a regular cupcake held on with a smear of buttercream. I mold the RBC so that it attaches at the top of cupcak paper. I roll out a circle a bit larger than the diameter of the half round and smooth the RBC down, rubbing gently but constantly to keep it round.

Hi Rae, I was wondering do u coat the cake with jam or corn syrup to help the rolled buttercream to stick and how did you not get a seam showing where the rolled fondant was joined ? how did you cover the half rounds to get that perfect rounded shape

Once the RBC gets a crust on it--I buff the ornaments with a 50/50 mix of CS & PS on my hands to help this along--you can paint on it with luster dust mixed with lemon extract or vodka.

Rolled buttercream is a very easy icing to work with and works like fondant only you can repair it easily. There are some recipes online for how to do it. I know it has white corn syrup in it. I didn't know that you could paint it but with these pictures, I do now. Thanks Rae!!
