I used a ball pan and cut the bottom and the front face part. I put black fondant for the face of the helmet and then wrapped the grey fondant around. Then using gumpaste I formed the mask part and left it out to dry out. Give yourself 2-3 days to dry out. Then I used gum glue and sassy glue to adhear to the helmet. Be careful I put it in the fridge for a couple hours and the gumpaste softened I little.

I've tried helmets twice and they don't turn out well.  Would you share your techique and how you put it together?

I have to try something like this for our next tailgate party. Of course with our team logo but the helmet is a crazy idea. Good job! and thank you for the idea.
