No piña colada cake this year. This is Cannoli cake filled with chocolate mascarpone. I figured I would save him the trouble of scraping off the buttercream. He will only have to scrape off the flowers. Colors are probably more appropriate for a fall cake but didn’t want hubby to think the cake was girly. Took me forever to do this but I am very happy with it.

I watched some Youtube videos and also this one on facebook https://www.facebook.com/azlita.aziz/videos/vb.100001238461054/9446.... Although I didn't make any exactly like them, it gave me an idea of what I wanted to do. As far as the leaves, it all in the tip you use. I think I used Wilton tip 69 if I'm not mistaken. They are a couple of different ones with the same shape. The leaves were all done with the same tip. Just used different pressure for the various sizes. Also recently bought a new tip which is Wilton 74 and I liked the flowers I made with it (yellow ones).
Where did you learn all these different flowers? And how to make those gorgeous leaves? Is it in a tutorial somewhere? And the way you mixed your colors is perfect! I bought some ready made too, but also have not done anything with them! lol Did melt one of the chocolates once, to pour over the top of my eclaire cake. lol
Thank you Bonnie. I was very happy with it. Funny thing is that I had bought some ready made frosting to practice flowers but never got a chance.
